My boy's 4th birthday was yesterday, but we decided to celebrate it today (as it is Saturday..dooh). So me, mummy, ucu, yaya and birthday boy make a trip to Genting to have some fun. Here are some of the pics. Enjoy!

Hibiscus rosa-sinensis

Hibiscus rosa-sinensis (the Chinese hibiscus) or widely known as Bunga Raya, is the national flower of Malaysia. The five petals symbolise 5 principles under The Malaysian Constitution. The single style will end with five stylar branch, carrying stigmas at the end of the stylar branch (the red blobs are the stigmas).

Where's my fish?

A local fisherman seen in the background casting his net trying very hard to catch some fish to bring back home for his family. The murky water around the area due to nearby rapid development of beach houses makes the scarcity of fish a common phenomenon in the area. The construction undoubtedly created a lot of employment (though it may not help a bit for the locals to get any job, it sure does help the migrant workers), the priority to protect the environment is the last thing in the mind of the developer.

thanx. Grainy skit sebab guna ISO 400 negs. Actually ada 1 copy lagi on Provia 100 slides film, tapi tak develop lagi. Same scene, I just use 2 body, 1 with negs and 1 with slides. Tapi negs masa tu nak dkt habis, so I just snap some using the negs body, cepat skit develop. Will scan the slides version bila dah develop nanti Fri 10-Feb-2006 07:22

A sequel to the previous image, taken on the same day. I've converted it to B&W (with sepia tone). I like both images (colour and B&W), but i prefer the B&W more. What do you think?

I like this ... thanks for sharing the techniques ... Thu 26-Jan-2006 14:05

thanx guys and gals. For the record, these images were scanned from the negs. Yes, you heard it right, negatives (Fuji Pro 400H - i'm a die-hard Fuji fan ). I'm still using negs and slides, but most of my images are in slides. Sebab in negs/slides la a bit slow updating this FP but insya-allah, i'll speed up the scanning. So to those out there still enjoying their film SLR, this shows that you can also share your images, not just from digitals. I'll make my migration to digital side, soon...but I have my own reason to choose film over digital on certain circumstances...chiow! Sat 28-Jan-2006 20:05
